Sanicro® 25 is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel engineered for the next generation of coal-fired power boilers: so called Advanced Ultra Supercritical boilers. It is ideal for reheater and superheater tubes in these new systems and will allow for material temperatures of up to 700ºC (1290ºF), contributing to greater efficiency and lower CO2 emissions.
The gold standard in stainless steel
If you’re familiar with the Alleima name, you also know that we provide advanced material tubing to some of the most demanding industries on earth. These include the safety and performance-conscious nuclear, automotive, petrochemical and oil and gas sectors.
Sanicro® 25 is our latest innovation – the best-performing austenitic boiler tube on the market today, developed specifically for Advanced Ultra Supercritical boilers. It will enable increased temperature and pressure in these advanced boilers and contribute to improved efficiency of coal conversion. This will not only save money over the lifecycle of the boiler, it will also reduce emissions due to the consumption of less coal.
New approvals open new possibilities
Sanicro® 25 has already received approvals from organizations such as ASME, VdTüV and more. Our latest certification by the Chinese Pressure Vessel Committee means that our high-pressure boiler tube is fully compliant for the design, fabrication, assembly and inspection of the most demanding boilers. In other words, we really are “fit for purpose.”
Prepare to outperform
We have delivered tubing to the most demanding energy producing industries for over 50 years, tailoring each delivery to our customer needs and demands. We know that each project is unique and every delivery carries its unique set of specifications. Below you can find our current range of deliverable formats as well as stress performance and heat capacity / thermal conductivity levels. If you have needs beyond those shown below, please don’t hesitate to contact us for further discussions.
Superior creep strength
Evaluation of ongoing creep tests indicate that Sanicro® 25 will almost reach 100 MPa (14.5 ksi) at 700°C (1290ºF) after 100,000 hours. The latest forecasted figure is 97 MPa (14.36 ksi).
The graph below shows the creep strength of Sanicro® 25 compared with other materials.
