High corrosion resistance
Alleima® 7C27Mo2 is our most corrosion-resistant knife steel. It combines exceptional corrosion resistance with decent edge properties.
The main reason for choosing this grade over our other knife steels is the benefits of high corrosion resistance, toughness and ease of re-sharpening. The added corrosion resistance is beneficial, especially when pitting corrosion is the main reason for the deterioration of the knife edge.
With a hardness range of 53-57 HRC 7C27Mo2 is recommended for fishing knives and outdoor knives used in marine environments.
Like most of our knife steels, this grade is fineblankable enabling efficient production.
