Innovative changes that make a real difference

Restoring health and mobility is accelerating faster than ever thanks to a new generation of medical advances. But pushing what’s possible for tomorrow’s life-changing technologies will require the absolute best in materials quality to move them forward.

In the health tech industry, power and precision are essential, so the materials that will advance it must be both high-strength and lightweight. That’s why there’s a growing demand for titanium grades and cannulated bars in special alloys.

Global limitations on materials mean the importance of high precision, availability, and robust production capabilities are critical. The acceleration of less invasive surgery means the advance in smaller medical devices is growing. Wire-based solutions using a single thin cable are moving medical capabilities forward.

Alleima at MedTech Live and OMTEC

Creating pathways for the future of the health tech industry was a major discussion point at two recent important events attended by Alleima: the OMTEC orthopaedic manufacturing and technology exposition and conference in Chicago, USA, and MedTech Live in Vienna, Austria.

These events helped strengthen our place at the forefront of industry advances as a raw materials and solutions supplier. They provided a platform to reaffirm our commitment to the absolute best in materials technology and highlighted our role as a progressive partner to the medical sector. Exhibiting for the first time at OMTEC and for the second time at MedTech Live enhanced our visibility and engagement with the industry.

Technology leader

At both events, we showcased our standard alloys in stainless steel and special alloys for orthopedic implants, surgical instruments, and medical devices. Our featured products included nitinol solutions, coated wires and our high-precision seamless tubes known for their superior strength and biocompatibility in Alleima® 316LVM and Alleima® High-N.

Visitors to the Alleima booth acknowledged our extensive experience in the supply of stainless steel and special alloys. They appreciated the continuity associated with our new identity as Alleima. It reinforced their confidence in our 160-year Scandinavian heritage and our continuous commitment to excellence.

Attending OMTEC and MedTech Live provided valuable market insights for new developments. We strengthened relationships with existing customers, discussed their evolving needs, and explored the possibilities of custom solutions for OEMs.

A progressive partner to the medical industry

Because we’re constantly advancing, we’re always looking ahead. And we anticipate innovative advances in the medical industry. We’re expanding our alloy portfolio and qualifying new production routes so our medical customers can always be at their best. We’re exploring new grounds for our wire solutions, to be even more flexible and smarter to accelerate the trend in smaller and smarter medical devices.

Taking part in events like OMTEC and MedTech Live not only showcases our current capabilities but also reinforces our dedication to advancing medical technology through superior materials and collaboration with our industry partners.
